We have an exciting opportunity due to expansion and growth for a Logistics Customer Service & Sales Assistant to play a key role in how we engage, support and grow our customer base.
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
The Role
This is a dual-focus position combining customer service excellence with commercial awareness and sales support.
You will act as a central point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience, while also identifying opportunities to grow revenue and support the wider Logistics strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Act as a first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email and systems
- Manage bookings, queries and service updates in a timely and professional manner
- Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure accurate and efficient delivery
- Resolve issues quickly, taking ownership and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Maintain clear and consistent communication aligned to our “Need to know / Good to know” approach
Sales & Commercial Support
- Support inbound sales enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed work
- Assist in preparing quotes for warehousing, 3PL and courier services
- Identify upselling opportunities across existing customers
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams to support growth
- Contribute to achieving revenue targets and improving margin performance
Operational Support
- Ensure accurate data entry across systems (orders, stock, bookings)
- Support reporting and tracking of customer activity
- Help maintain service standards and identify areas for continuous improvement
What We Are Looking For
- Strong communication skills with a confident and professional approach
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Commercially aware with an interest in sales and customer growth
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership
- Good IT skills and attention to detail
- Experience in logistics, customer service or sales is beneficial but not essential
