We focus on what our customer needs on the jobsite – a machine that holds up in the toughest environment and increases their productivity.   At JCB, we stand behind our products – and our name.   Position Purpose This position is responsible for performing standard wet paint and paint touch up on SSL machines.   Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities Perform labor operations such as loading/unloading of the paint line using the manipulators or forklifts Operate hand tools to demask product Properly prep, mask and wet paint machines and parts. Apply Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques to improve inspection methods Apply Problem Solving Tools and Techniques to assist Manufacturing in the elimination of defects Other duties as assigned   Nature & Scope Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor.   Minimum Qualifications Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable. High school diploma One year of painting experience Experience with a forklift   Preferred Qualifications Three years of painting experience in a manufacturing environment Forklift certification required   Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies Knowledge and ability to operate a forklift Effective communication and problem-solving skills Detail oriented and self-motivated Ability to multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency Flexibility with work activities; available for overtime Ability to operate pneumatic or various hand tools and forklift or other equipment as needed Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required   Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities.  These activities may involve fine movements or large motions. Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist. Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed. Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force. Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.
