Live-in Family Assistant (RSF)

A warm and active family in Rancho Santa Fe is seeking a dependable, energetic, and trustworthy Live-in Family Assistant to support the daily flow of the household and assist with childcare for three children ages 12, 8, and 8.

This is a full-time, live-in role best suited for someone who enjoys being part of a busy family environment, loves cooking, and naturally brings positive energy into the home. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, flexible, and able to balance childcare support with household assistance while maintaining a calm and professional presence.

The family has historically had the best experience with candidates who are highly energetic, enjoy engaging with children, and genuinely love food and cooking, especially preparing a variety of cuisines.

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM – 8:00 PM

• Tuesday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM – 8:00 PM

The ideal candidate is:

• Someone who enjoys connecting with children and being a positive role model

• Ideally college-aged or near college age, allowing for easy relatability with the children

• Passionate about cooking and creating a welcoming home environment

• Flexible, mature, and easy to live with in a long-term live-in arrangement

• Assist with daily routines for three children

• Help support school schedules, transportation, and after-school activities

• Provide a positive, engaging, and structured presence within the home

• Serve as a strong role model and supportive companion for the children

• Assist with pets and general family support as needed

• Prepare meals for the family using fresh ingredients

• Cook a variety of cuisines and maintain enthusiasm around food and family meals

• Grocery shopping and kitchen support as needed

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

• Laundry, steaming, folding, and household organization

• Assist with errands and shopping

• Support general household flow and daily upkeep

• Assist with table service and entertaining preparation when needed

• Prior experience as a Family Assistant, Nanny, or similar private household role preferred

• Strong cooking skills with genuine enjoyment of preparing meals

• Energetic, organized, and comfortable in a busy family environment

• Dependable, trustworthy, and able to maintain professionalism within the home

• Strong communication skills and positive attitude

• Comfortable assisting with children, pets, errands, and household support

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred

• Must pass advanced third-party background check (paid by client)
