As we continue to grow across Australia and New Zealand, we are seeking a Regional Vice President of Strategic Operations to strengthen operational performance, forecasting discipline and workforce optimisation across the Pacific Region.
This is a pivotal regional leadership opportunity for a commercially minded operator who thrives in complex professional services environments and enjoys building structure, visibility and accountability at scale.
Reporting to the Regional SVP and partnering closely with Service Line Vice Presidents, the Regional Vice President of Strategic Operations will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across the Pacific business.
You will lead the regional operating rhythm, improve forecasting accuracy, optimise workforce utilisation and establish consistent performance measures across Service Lines. Acting as a strategic operational partner to senior technical leaders, you will provide the insight, discipline and structure needed to support sustainable growth and improved financial performance.
This role is ideal for a senior operations leader who combines strong commercial acumen with a collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence across a matrix organisation.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Establish and lead a disciplined regional operating cadence across all Service Lines.
- Drive consistency in operational reporting, KPIs and performance visibility.
- Monitor operational risks, delivery gaps and productivity trends across the region.
- Embed scalable operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead regional resource visibility and utilisation management frameworks.
- Improve alignment between workforce capacity, backlog and market demand.
- Standardise regional measurement of utilisation, billable hours, productivity and net revenue per hour.
- Provide actionable insight into capacity imbalances and workforce optimisation opportunities.
- Strengthen forecasting governance, accuracy and operational discipline.
- Partner with regional and Service Line leadership on budgets and financial plans.
- Analyse backlog burn rates, forecast variance and utilisation impacts on revenue performance.
- Support leadership teams with data-driven operational and financial insights.
- Influence and partner effectively with senior technical and commercial leaders.
- Mentor operational and project leaders in performance management and financial discipline.
- Support cross-Service Line collaboration and regional alignment.
You are a highly analytical and commercially focused operational leader with experience working in professional services, engineering, consulting or similarly complex environments.
You bring:
- Proven experience in operational leadership, workforce planning or operational excellence.
- Strong financial literacy, including forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis.
- Experience operating within regional or global matrix organisations.
- The ability to translate operational data into executive-level insight and action.
- Strong influencing skills and credibility with senior stakeholders.
- A structured, disciplined and collaborative leadership style.
- A passion for continuous improvement and scalable operational performance.
Candidates must have full working rights in Australia or New Zealand, with the ability to travel regionally across Australia and New Zealand as required.
