In this role, you will take ownership of a broad range of tax matters relating to the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Spain, with a particular focus on corporate income tax and related areas, while also supporting other tax topics as they arise. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a role that combines technical depth, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on responsibility in an international and fast-moving environment.

  • Act as a key point of contact for tax matters relating mainly to the Netherlands, as well as to the United Kingdom and Spain.
  • Manage and oversee compliance with corporate income tax and related obligations in the countries under your supervision, and support other teams across the group in maintaining such compliance.
  • Provide practical and timely tax support to business teams on matters connected with the jurisdictions under your supervision.
  • Monitor developments in tax legislation, case law, and administrative practice, and translate them into clear actions, risk mitigation measures, and optimization opportunities.
  • Oversee communications with tax authorities, external tax advisers, and other external stakeholders in close coordination with local accounting teams and other relevant colleagues.
  • Manage and support tax audits, investigations, disputes, and litigation as they arise.
  • Review a broad range of transactions, contracts, corporate arrangements, and structural changes from a tax perspective.
  • Analyze technical tax issues, including matters relating to local tax rules, tax treaties, withholding taxes, permanent establishment risks, and other cross-border tax questions.
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of transfer pricing policies, protocols, and documentation, and help ensure compliance with local transfer pricing requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of tax processes, controls, and internal guidance to support sustainable compliance and efficient ways of working.
  • Work with colleagues across finance and other functions on group-wide projects with tax implications.
  • Where relevant, provide support on other tax topics connected with the countries under your supervision, including indirect tax, employment tax, and tax accounting-related matters.
  • Have a higher education degree in taxation, law, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • Have at least seven years of relevant taxation experience, preferably gained in a big four environment and/or an in-house multinational role.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of corporate tax matters, with solid experience in European taxation environments.
  • Thoroughly understand the taxation system and practical tax compliance requirements in the Netherlands.
  • Are comfortable working on both advisory and operational tax matters.
