Certified Peer Specialist

JEVS Human Services is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist.

The Certified Peer Specialist empowers and motivates people to work toward recovery – feeling the way they want to feel, making their lives the way they want them to be, developing goals, achieving and keeping those goals, and moving toward meeting life goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with individuals and groups to have an action plan to achieve recovery goals; provide activities, education, and skill teachingthat help recovery and progress toward goals

• Promote participants' self-advocacy skills

• Promoting a peer support culture within the program. Give presentations on the role of the CPS to agency members, community resource liaison and family members.
