The India security operation center (IOC) is responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events, researching regional and global affairs, incoming call mitigation, event dispatching and emergency notification services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In an emergency, they direct and coordinates regional security assistance and support by providing technical and advisory assistance for the performance of essential operational services; the issuance of warnings of risks and hazards, dissemination of employee information, as well as serving as the central communication intake point for Corporate Security in India.
Personnel who work in the IOC must be able to exercise critical thinking and sound judgment to facilitate communications and solutions to impacted personnel and their impacted business leadership; communicate accurately and efficiently with the highest-level executives; problem solve a variety of potential hazards and crisis to ensure effective warnings are communicated.
- They report directly to the Security Manager and work in a team of other Assistant Security Manager(ASM’s), Security Manager (SO), Security Systems Supervisor and Intel Analyst.
- Oversee workflow, monitor and account for performance of IOC SO’s.
- Exercise the level of leadership, management and supervision.
- Ensure all functions of the IOC are carried out in an efficient and effective manner whilst providing maximum security support
- Manage and coordinate security communications operations ensuring that security procedures are implemented and followed as per the control center framework procedures ie SOPs of the IOC.
- Ability to perform well and maintain a high degree of professionalism and service on a routine basis, during emergency situations or under extreme pressure.
- Coordinate the daily development and dissemination of intelligence and operationally based reports to support Corporate Security and regional business partners.
- Support 24/7 scheduling and coverage for the IOC, URMI physical security team including talent protection team.
- Coordinate and support emergency and crisis management assets providing a timely and coherent response to incidents as they arise.
- Liaise with Security Manager, Regional Security Managers, IOC Intel, and all other required company personnel to ensure that all relevant security information is disseminated in a timely manner
- Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of all IOC programs and procedures.
- Partner with and communicate with security partners to conduct tactical security assessments as required, and where necessary provide feedback on proposed mitigation strategies for country and regional specific threats.
- Execute the design and implementation of project related security strategies, security policies/ standards and establish a concrete course of action for their implementation and review.
- Provide support by monitoring open sources for breaking news and current events that affect the company, its employees, and guests across India.
- Liaise with regional security partners to ensure that training procedures IOC team, physical security guard force PAN India and policies are implemented within acceptable standards.
- Maintain close links with key stakeholders to ensure that all projects are implemented with the highest degree of professionalism safety and security.
- Support development of policy, procedures and protocols for future IOC operational, technological integrations and physical & operational security.
- Serves as the first responder for information by assisting employees domestically or internationally with security- or travel-related emergencies.
- Have a full understanding of the functions, roles and systems used at all sites, such as Security, Incident management & escalation, CCTV, etc.
- Provides excellent support to regional guests, talents and employees.
- Assist in the effective implementation of the regional employee travel safety and security program Ensures proper distribution of notification by preparing effective Distribution List (DL).
- Support event and screening, carry out event risk assessments and provide advise on mitigation measures, deploy security personnel as per event security plan and oversee the events security to ensure it is completed incident free.
- Coordinate with Sports studio team on production and broadcast of all sporting events including talent movement and celebrity integrations during these productions and broadcast.
- Carry out incident investigation and preparing of the reports including mitigation measures.
- Respond to the various in the office emergency or crisis in URMI i.e. Medical, Elevator Entrapment, Fire or Fire Alarm, Intrusion, Mob / Civil Threat etc.
- Carry out various administrative task pertaining to security operation and IOC operations i.e. access control audits of restricted and highly restricted doors, activation and deactivation of access cards, guarding attendance and billing, coordinating with of the finance for bill payment, gate pass user audit, AED’s audit & assessments, exit portal notification monitoring and remedial, support other audits of cyber security i.e. ISO 27001, maintain of IOC & security operation dashboard, escalation and resolution of any gaps identified during security patrols, audit and checks to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain liaison and coordination with local law enforcement, guarding company and other security vendors.
- Ensure that all security equipment like Pole Detectors, AED’s, Handheld Metal Detectors, X-Ray Machine, Walk Thru Metal Detectors, Walki Takli etc are always in working and operational reediness.
- Escalation of the security systems issues or identified support Technical team in the quarterly RPM to ensure that each of the test results are recorded in the checklist to them and ensure that the same is fixed in agreed TAT.
- Any other task identified by the Security Manager.
- Graduation in any Stream
- Prior Experience in Security Operations.
