Job Summary:
We serve high quality content to millions of customers across millions of devices, all of which are constantly evolving and changing. This role is within our Marketing team and includes activations like Media planning with ATL and Marketing activation with BTL driving micro-marketing and on-ground activation. It also includes ensuring identification of critical and impact markets and customize the marketing approach specific to the geo dynamics.
About the team:
The channel marketing team is responsible for driving viewer engagement and promoting the Colors Kannada channel's brand across multiple platforms. The team creates and executes marketing plans, such as campaigns for show launches, brand partnerships, and audience reach. They collaborate closely with the programming, creative communications, and digital marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and maximize reach. With a focus on regional markets and audience preferences, the team creates targeted promotions, media planning with ATL and marketing activation with BTL driving micro-marketing and on-ground activation, and digital strategies that enhance the channel's visibility. Their work assures a strong brand presence and fosters audience loyalty in a competitive market.
  • Implementing the Brand and Marketing Activations across channels with higher focus in Bengalore and identified urban towns and monitor various Communication Tools for specific Markets to consumers & trade.
  • Developing marketing strategies that are tailored to the Kannada-speaking audience and the local market.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with content creators, distribution partners, advertisers, and other stakeholders to leverage synergies and drive mutual growth.
  • Monitor offline branding Activities including OOH and Electronic Media with retail visibility program.
  • Carrying out market research to keep up information up to date on consumer behavior.
  • Meet influencers from time to time along with agencies to understand, monitor and report influencer program progress.
  • Organize & monitor small format virtual/ live events along with agencies. Ensure maximum TG attends the events.
  • Collaborating with the programming team to identify marketable content and create marketing plans for new shows and series.
  • Creating and managing budgets for campaigns and ensuring that campaigns are cost-effective.
  • Working closely with media buying agencies to secure advertising rates and placements in local Kannada media outlets.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proficiency in Kannada preferred.
  • Eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and an assertive personality.
  • A deep understanding of the Kannada-speaking audience and local market trends.
  • Minimum Qualification: MBA or Postgraduate with 8+ years’ work experience in a related field.
