The Inventory Control Analyst will be responsible for oversite and reporting on inventory across all warehouse management systems' sites to ensure accuracy and stability of the ERP data. Utilizing reports, cycle counters, distribution staff, and themselves to meet KPIs and standards for J&J facilities. This could include anything from site visits and training to developing better practices and habits of staff to embrace J&J Snack Foods standards. The role falls under the operations department as an internal inventory and process auditor for J&J Snack Foods.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Reporting on daily numbers for warehouse management system (WMS) sites. For example, daily cut sales from distribution, percentage of warehouses counted, reviewing site errors, and system errors that could create system bugs.
  • Ensure the integrity of the lot, pallet serial numbers, item codes, etc.
  • Report on bad Item data or data updates

 Cycle Counts 

  • Issuing to site counters, ensure meeting standard to reach KPI goals for the quarter 
  • Count/verify as needed at the sites (travel to be discussed as needed) 
  • Reviewing for accuracy and reconciling issues 
  • Reclassing inventory as needed for correction at sites 
  • Addressing common mistakes and grow policy to further accuracy 

 Training 

  • Teaching policy and process to new employees on best practices 
  • Re-training as needed 
  • Acquisitions/Implementations - Help train and review new sites coming onto JDE 

 Audits / Year End Inventory Oversite 

  • Build game plan for audits to address possible issues and ensure smooth and accurate completion of audits 
  • Review and recount as necessary  
  • Audits of our third-party logistics groups to be arranged with multiple team members to assess data coming from them/EDI for validation 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to accomplish a versatile and evolving workload.  
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; must work well with management, peers, contractors and employees. 
  • Must be able to work independently under general direction, have a high degree of attention to detail, and be trusted to enable on-time delivery of results for multiple projects within a dynamic work environment. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite 
  • Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy. JDE/Oracle a plus 

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • High School – GED or Diploma required 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • 3+ years experience in warehousing preferred

 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

Travel requirements 50% to other J&J Snack Foods sites

Pay range: $65,000 - $75,000
