We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Service Manager to join our Forestry Division, based in Perth. This is a key role where you’ll drive operational excellence and support the continued success of our team. Based at our facility in Perth, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading, supporting and developing a nationwide team of engineers and all Workshop and Field Operations throughout North Scotland. The successful applicant would also hold a place on the management group and be responsible for the continued growth of the company’s aftersales business. The successful candidate is required to live within commuting distance. Primary Responsibilities & Tasks * Responsible for all field and workshop activities in area of responsibility * Responsible for the delivery of Service Department budget and other Key Metrics * Pursues new possibilities to improve aftersales service, including customer visits * Monitors high-level product problems/concerns and seeks commitment from appropriate departments/units so that necessary actions can be taken * Develop and manage a team to achieve expected individual and department performance metrics and goals What skills you need * Experience and/or knowledge of the Forestry industry (desirable but not essential) * Experience of leading a modern customer support organisation in a dynamic and demanding environment to provide market leading customer service * Experience of managing a team of high performing engineers * Ability to utilise modern business systems * Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation * Full UK Driving Licence What makes you stand out * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Flexible mindset and the ability to lead change * Ability to engage and inspire others What we offer At John Deere, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset.
