Cashier

Job Purpose We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Cashier to manage daily financial transactions and monitor fuel dispensing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure every liter sold is accurately tracked, maintain a balanced cash drawer, and uphold strict security protocols to prevent fraud and theft. Job Duties: Monitor fuel dispensers to ensure liters sold accurately match customer payments; report any discrepancies immediately. Maintain a balanced cash drawer; perform reconciliations at the start and end of each shift. Follow strict cash-handling procedures to prevent fraud, theft, or errors. Record daily transactions for both fuel and water sales; submit clear, accurate end-of-day reports. Provide basic customer service – process payments (cash, card, fleet cards), answer inquiries, and maintain a professional demeanor. Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and security procedures, including basic fuel station safety. Requirements Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent preferred. Previous cashier or retail experience (fuel station experience is a plus). Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems. High level of integrity and reliability. Strong attention to detail, especially regarding numbers and inventory tracking.
