Tire Retread Technician

Are you mechanically inclined and looking for an opportunity in the heavy-duty tire industry? Kal Tire, is seeking Tire Retread Technicians to join our team at our Prince George, BC. facility. In this role you will work on commercial truck tires, inspecting for damage, preparing tires for repair, patching, and repairing, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

As an Tire Repair Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction. You'll be part of a team dedicated to extending the life of tires through the retreading & repair process, reducing waste, and minimizing the environmental impact of tire disposal.

Full-time day shifts.
7:00 am- 3:30 pm Monday-Friday no rotation.
Overtime available during peak seasons.

• →Tire Inspection: From identifying areas requiring repair through to the final product, quality control and a keen eye for detail are required.
• →Tire Repair: Preform repairs using hand tools, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• →Independent Work: Work independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
• →Safety Focus: Maintain a safety mindset and adhere to all safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment.

• Mechanical Aptitude: Previous mechanical experience or aptitude is preferred.
• Safety Conscious: Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
• Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working collaboratively in a high-performing team environment.
