Keeley Construction is looking to hire an Senior Accountant in St. Louis, MO.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and maintain monthly balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
Ensure reconciliations are complete, accurate, properly supported, and resolved timely.
Prepare and post monthly and ad-hoc journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments.
Assist the Assistant Controller and Controller with the monthly close process, including variance analysis and financial statement support.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing schedules, support, and explanations as needed.
Identify and help implement process improvements related to reconciliations, close, and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-4 years of accounting experience in public accounting or construction industry required.
Strong understanding of Month-end close processes, Journal entries, and Account reconciliations required.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
CPA or CMA preferred
Experience with construction accounting concepts such as job costing and WIP preferred.
