Our business
- Ecommerce: a Shopify business serving customers nationwide with kites, gear, apparel, and other products.
- Recreation and tours: bookable Outer Banks adventures, including hang gliding, watersports, boat and jet ski rentals, dolphin tours, kayak tours, kiteboarding, parasailing, and fishing experiences.
- Retail stores: 30+ destination locations where guests browse, book, and buy across Kitty Hawk Kites and its family of brands.
- Own the Monday.com marketing workspace: maintain project templates, current owners, deadlines, status, approvals, next steps, and follow-up across the department.
- Manage the store and business-unit request process from intake through completion. Confirm required details, identify missing information, route work to the right owner, track production and distribution, and confirm completion with requesters.
- Maintain the integrated marketing calendar in collaboration with Digital Marketing and across ecommerce, retail, recreation, events, seasonal promotions, partnerships, and new-location priorities; flag conflicts and risks before deadlines are missed.
- Prepare weekly team agendas, capture action items, maintain the marketing scorecard inputs, and support the Director and Digital Marketing Lead with clear, timely status reporting.
- Coordinate vendor, printer, signage, shipping, distribution, file-management, and routine production logistics; maintain organized records of contacts, quotes, approvals, delivery status, and final files.
- Support event and recreation marketing operations, including third-party listings, materials coordination, sponsor/partner follow-up, content-capture logistics, and use of the KHK post-event recap template.
- Support Finance and marketing leadership with invoice, contract, renewal, budget, campaign-tracking, and event-recap records. Surface upcoming renewals, missing documentation, and decision items in advance.
- Maintain marketing documentation and playbooks in SharePoint/Dropbox, including templates, final assets, vendor details, request procedures, and recurring workflow instructions.
- Support accurate Google Business Profile updates, location information, and review-tracking workflows in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Lead and business-unit teams.
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, operations, marketing support, account coordination, events, retail, hospitality, tourism, or a multi-location business.
- Exceptional organization, follow-through, written communication, and comfort managing several workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines at once.
- Experience with Monday.com, or a similar project-management tool; proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and basic reporting.
- Comfort working with vendors, internal teams, and external partners; able to follow up professionally, ask for missing information, and keep clear records.
- Experience with CRM/email tools, Google Business Profile, event coordination, retail or tourism marketing, and marketing budget/contract administration is strongly preferred.
- Able to work on-site in Nags Head, travel locally to KHK locations when needed, and support key events that may require occasional evening or weekend hours.
