Our team is comprised of competent and caring business professionals who are innovative, resourceful, collaborative, and helpful in facilitating the management and accountability of the Kinexus Group. This responsibility requires that we be service oriented relative to the data needs of all departments, emphasizing the importance of data intelligence and analysis in driving informed decision-making. We ensure that all transactions adhere to Kinexus policies and procedures, as well as rules established through various federal, state, and local fund sources.
The Data Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and supporting program data systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting. This position serves as the primary lead for the GPMS data system, provides support and quality assistance for all Michigan Works related systems (ApprentiScope and OSMIS), and manages the Request for Funding (RFF) tracker. The role works closely with program staff to support data entry, resolve issues, and promote data quality.

- Serve as the primary point of contact and lead user for the GPMS data system, including data entry guidance, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
- Support staff use of ApprentiScope and OSMIS, ensuring data is entered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with data clean-up, validation, and routine quality checks across systems.
Run standard reports and data queries to support program tracking and internal reporting needs.
- Serve as the lead coordinator for the Request for Funding (RFF) tracker.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of funding requests, approvals, timelines, and outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal staff to ensure required documentation and data are complete.
- Prepare summary reports related to RFF activity as requested.
- Monitor data entry timelines and completeness, identifying gaps or inconsistencies.
- Communicate data issues or trends to supervisors and program leads.
- Assist with basic staff training and one-on-one support related to data systems.
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal data reporting requirements.

Requirements

- Ability to organize information, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with staff.
- Ability to explain technical or data concepts to non-technical staff.
- Comfort working with structured trackers, spreadsheets, and reporting timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel an basic reporting tools.
Nice to Have

- Experience working with data systems or case management databases preferred.
- Familiarity with GPMS, OSMIS, or apprenticeship-related systems strongly preferred.
Requirements

- Must be willing and able to travel approximately 30% of the time between Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.
