Calgary Aggregate Recycling is actively seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join our esteemed team as a Scale House Administrator. As a Scale House Administrator, you will play a crucial role as the primary point of contact for our valued customers, ensuring exceptional service and the efficient operation of our scale house. This dynamic position encompasses various responsibilities, including administration, customer service, scale software operation, sales recording, pricing and sales information provision, as well as billing.
As Scale House Administrator your primary responsibilities will include:
- Tare in and weigh all trucks and vehicles on the scale.
- Enter information into the scaling system.
- Processing cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Ensuring that all incoming waste loads comply with safety regulations and contain appropriate materials.
- Communicate with loader operator to advise of trucks entering yard for materials.
- Separate and collate scale tickets.
- Print and review invoice reports and ensure all tickets are accounted for.
- Answer phones.
- Create and distribute bi-monthly invoices.
- Applying deposits to invoices and entering supplier invoices.
- Demonstrating exceptional multitasking abilities to handle various administrative tasks.
- Possessing strong English communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Maintaining a safety-conscious attitude and effectively communicating with other workers on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Experience/qualifications:
- Minimum of one full year experience as a scale house administrator.
- Ability to process trucks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience processing debit, credit and cash transactions.
- Experience entering data into systems.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to multitask.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, loud environment.
- Any experience in aggregate or construction is an asset.
