In this role, you will be expected to drive project success through a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication for clinical revenue management and revenue integrity engagements. You will be responsible for guiding cross-functional teams, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes. Your role will require proactive risk management, effective scope and timeline oversight, and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs to drive success for our customers as well as Kodiak.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship management with customer leaders at all levels
  • Develop project timelines, implementation steps, internal and external communication strategies, governance frameworks, and change management plans in coordination with Kodiak and customer leadership
  • Ensure high quality execution of all project deliverables
  • Manage project scope according to statement of work or engagement letter; identify opportunities for change orders including creating and seeing through change orders
  • Serve as the primary day‑to‑day advisor for hospital revenue integrity initiatives, guiding clients through charge capture, charge description master (CDM), billing workflows, and reconciliation best practices
  • Support automation opportunities within EMRs (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) to streamline charging workflows and minimize manual interventions
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise on CMS, Medicare/Medicaid, and commercial payer rules, ensuring client compliance with regulatory changes
  • Consistently anticipate internal and customer needs and adapt project communications accordingly
  • Develop and manage internal project finance processes
  • Support customer invoicing and billing processes
  • Manage and oversee benefit tracking processes and maintaining customer ROI
  • Coordinate and/or oversee coordination (where applicable) of project meetings and all related deliverables such as agendas, minutes, action items, and follow through of next steps to continue to move the project forward
  • Foster an environment of ownership of project and customer success

 

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a health-related field is required (an MBA, MHA, and/or MPH is highly desirable). 
  • Experience: 3-6 years of deep healthcare experience is required, with a focus on clinical areas such as radiology, cardiology, perioperative services, emergency medicine, or nursing being a strong advantage. 
  • Consulting Expertise: Previous experience in a professional services or consulting role is essential, demonstrating a proven track record in delivering client-focused solutions. 
  • Revenue Integrity/Revenue Cycle Knowledge: Expertise in hospital revenue cycle management, with a specific focus on revenue integrity processes, is required. 
  • Technical Proficiency & Certification: Strong technical knowledge in your area of expertise, along with relevant licensure or certifications (e.g., RN, BSN, CCS, CPC, COC, CRCR, CIRCC, RHIA) is expected. 
  • Leadership & Project Management: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, guide cross-functional teams, and interact with all levels of client and internal staff. 
  • Analytical & Financial Skills: Exceptional financial and analytical skills are required, with a strong aptitude for using data to drive decision-making and process improvement. 
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Business Development: Prior experience in sales or business development is a plus, showcasing the ability to foster client relationships and grow business opportunities. 
  • Travel Requirements: This position requires up to 20% travel to client sites as needed.
