Staff Curriculum Developer

You will be working at a dynamic and fast paced Startup as a member of the Education team. This team is responsible for creating and delivering both online and instructor led training to Kong customers and partners.

  Working with a diverse team of people from all over the world

  Building curriculums and associated training materials to support our internal and external training needs

• →

  Partnering with engineering and product management to understand our technical capabilities and developing content to enable technical audiences to understand how to best leverage our capabilities

• →

  Producing quality learning content including but not limited to: presentation slides, instructor guides, lab instructions, assessment and credential questions, videos and course descriptions for both web-based training and instructor led training

• →

  Deliver in-person and virtual instructor-led training offerings to diverse audiences including engineers, solutions architects, managers and operations personnel

• →

  Analyzing customer training requirements

• →

  Developing appropriate learning objectives and test methods

• →

  Developing flow diagrams and storyboards.

• →

  Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

• You are a voracious learner, who loves to dig into technical mysteries and have the creativity to solve complex technical problems

• 5+ years developing curriculum for technical or software training courses including instructor-led materials, self-paced e-learning modules, and job aids

• You can build relationships with like-minded teammates, smart customers, and global partners

• REST and RESTful APIs

• Can explain the benefits of using APIs and API governance clearly and concisely to both technical and non technical stakeholders

• Coding skills- (at a minimum read and troubleshoot code)

• Cloud technologies, Containers, cluster deployment and management tools like Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and others

• You know your way around web architectures including HTTP

• Proficient in Linux environments including Cloud and Development tooling

• Proven ability to write and edit content for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development; this includes collaborating with subject matter experts, instructors, and other stakeholders to explain technical concepts in simple terms

• Excellent grammar, punctuation, and formatting skills
