As we transition from a service-oriented model to a product-driven platform, we are expanding our hybrid Bengaluru-based team. We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to help ensure the accuracy and quality of transcripts generated from qualitative interviews with healthcare professionals. In this role you will work a GMT hour shift, 3-11pm IST, to review AI-generated transcripts from qualitative interviews with healthcare professionals (HCPs), ensuring medical accuracy, contextual clarity, and research usability.
As Konovo's Medical Transcriptionist you will work closely with research and technology teams, leveraging proprietary AI tools to input feedback and continuously improve transcription quality. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your medical transcription expertise, while working at the intersection of healthcare providers, qualitative research, and AI-enabled technology, helping improve the quality and reliability of insights generated through Konovo’s platform.
- Review and validate AI-generated transcripts from recorded qualitative interviews with doctors and healthcare stakeholders to ensure high accuracy and clarity.
- Ensure medical terminology accuracy, correct interpretation of clinical context, and speaker attribution
- Use Konovo’s AI-powered transcription and feedback tools to identify corrections, improve transcript quality, and help optimise the platform’s performance.
- Flag unclear audio segments and suggest corrections or annotations
- Maintain a high standard of transcription quality that enables research teams to derive accurate insights from qualitative healthcare discussions.
- Collaborate with internal research and operations teams to ensure transcripts are delivered on time and meet project requirements.
- Continuously identify patterns or recurring issues in transcripts and provide feedback through use of internal AI tools that improves transcription processes and AI accuracy.
- Maintain consistency in transcription formatting aligned with research standards
- Collaborate with research teams to ensure transcripts meet usability requirements for insights generation
- Adhere to confidentiality and data privacy standards
- 2–3 years of experience in medical transcription, healthcare documentation, or clinical data review or a similar role.
- Strong command of medical terminology and the ability to accurately interpret clinical conversation across specialties
- Exceptional attention to detail with consistently high accuracy in transcription and quality review
- Excellent listening, comprehension, and written English skills, including grammar, punctuation, and formatting
- Proven ability to work with audio files, transcription tools, and digital review platforms
- Comfort working in fast-paced, deadline- driven environments with multiple concurrent transcripts
- Experience with qualitative research interviews or healthcare market research is a plus
- A mindset of continuous improvement, with the ability to identify patterns, flag inconsistencies, and evaluate overall transcript quality
- Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams
- High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive healthcare information
- AI-native mindset: you actively leverage AI tools to improve your output, move faster, and contribute feedback that makes the system smarter over time
- qualitative research interviews or healthcare market research is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, medical transcription, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive healthcare-related discussions with professionalism.
