12- Month Fixed Term Opportunity in Whitianga!!
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Te Rito e Tupu Ana (Well Child) Team. As part of this team, you will support the health and wellbeing of pēpi and tamariki from birth to 5-years.
The position will be based in Whitianga while also covering the Hauraki rohe - 32 hours per week (0.8FTE)
Working in whānau homes and in our Whānau Health Centres, Te Rito e Tupu Ana provide services including health assessments, development and growth monitoring and education for whānau and caregivers, food and nutrition advice, oral health education and vaccinations. As part of a kaupapa Māori health service, Te Rito e Tupu Ana Nurses are responsible for providing culturally appropriate and whānau-centered care with the ability to coordinate with health and social services to reduce health inequities for whānau
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Registered Nurse with a current APC.
- Proven experience in child health, community nursing or Well Child services.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and independently as required.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with diverse communities
- Have an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how it can be shown in practice
- Proficiency in the use of digital health technologies and clinical information systems.
