The Legal, Risk and Compliance (“LRC”) team is looking for a Contract Specialist to support Kpler’s global commercial activities and strategic growth.
 
In this role, you will act as a trusted legal and commercial partner to the business, working closely with Sales, Finance, Product, Marketing, Partnerships, and Engineering teams. You will play a critical role in drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial and public procurement contracts, ensuring that legal risks are identified, mitigated, and aligned with Kpler’s commercial objectives and risk appetite.
  • Independently draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of client-facing and supplier contracts, such as Master Service Agreements, Bespoke general terms and conditions (including public sector and governmental contracts), Order Forms, Change Notice, Data Access Agreement, Partnerships Agreements
  • Lead and support contract negotiations end-to-end, proactively identifying legal and commercial risks and proposing pragmatic, business-oriented solutions aligned with Kpler’s policies.
  • Act as a primary legal point of contact for internal stakeholders on contracting matters, providing clear, timely, and practical legal guidance.
  • Provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially sound legal guidance to internal stakeholders, balancing risk mitigation with business enablement
  • Confidently articulate risk positions to Sales and senior business stakeholders, proposing practical alternatives and fallback positions where needed.
  • Support the sales process for Kpler’s technology products, working closely with Sales and Deal Desk teams to enable efficient deal closing while safeguarding legal and compliance requirements.
  • Identify recurring negotiation trends and contribute to improving templates, playbooks, and internal negotiation guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate contract lifecycle management within Ironclad, maintaining data integrity and supporting reporting needs.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to commercial contracting and public procurement, identifying trends, emerging risks, and areas for process or template improvement.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, demonstrating strong judgment, responsiveness, and risk-based decision-making.
  • Master’s degree in Law, or Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in commercial contract negotiations.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a contract-focused role (e.g., Contract Specialist, Commercial Legal, or similar) within a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience independently negotiating and closing complex commercial contracts (including Master Service Agreements) within a technology, SaaS, or data-driven business.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing commercial contracts end-to-end.
  • Ability to independently manage standard and moderately complex negotiations with limited supervision.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Sales, IT, Security, Engineering, and Finance teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Confidence in engaging with senior internal stakeholders and articulating risk-based positions clearly and constructively.
  • Ability to manage multiple parallel negotiations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to contract review and risk assessment.
  • Commercially minded and solution-oriented mindset.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of IT, technology, or data-related concepts is considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting a global, multi-jurisdictional organisation across multiple time zones
  • Exposure to public procurement or governmental contracting processes
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management and ticketing tools, such as Ironclad and Jira.
