The Presentation Designer plays a key role in supporting partners, directors and teams across KPMG New Zealand by creating high-quality, on‑brand PowerPoint deliverables. This is a PowerPoint‑focused role suited to someone who enjoys shaping content and applying a strong design eye to improve layout, diagrams and overall clarity.

Sitting within the Brand team, the role works closely with stakeholders to translate business content into clear, well‑structured and visually engaging deliverables for proposals, client delivery, internal communications and leadership forums. Strong PowerPoint capability and New Zealand cultural awareness are essential, ensuring outputs are professional and appropriate for local business audiences.

  • Create, edit and refine PowerPoint deliverables, including proposals, reports, presentations, templates, charts and diagrams, in line with agreed briefs and timelines.
  • Apply a strong design eye to enhance layout, flow, consistency and clarity across slides.
  • Ensure all outputs reflect New Zealand cultural awareness and are appropriate for local business audiences.
  • Work closely with partners, directors and teams to clarify briefs, respond to feedback, and meet deadlines.
  • Manage multiple pieces of work concurrently, maintaining high attention to detail under time pressure.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Brand team and external suppliers when required.
  • Consistently apply KPMG brand guidelines, and client branding where relevant, helping maintain quality and consistency across deliverables.
  •  

  • Around 2-3 years’ experience working extensively in PowerPoint, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment. 
  • Strong skills in slide layout, formatting, charts, diagrams and templates, with the ability to refine content for clarity and consistency.
  • A good eye for visual design fundamentals, including alignment, spacing, hierarchy and colour (formal design training is helpful but not essential).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Illustrator) to support the creation of visuals, diagrams and graphics.
  • A portfolio or examples PowerPoint work that demonstrate strong execution, attention to detail and the effective use of visuals, diagrams and graphics to communicate ideas clearly.
  • Comfortable working directly with stakeholders, including partners and directors, in a professional and responsive manner.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisational ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A good level of New Zealand cultural awareness, with an understanding of local business audiences and expectations.
  • Comfortable working in a PC-based environment.

    This role is best suited to someone early in their career and is not intended for candidates seeking a senior‑level position.
