A successful Warehouse Associate provides reliable operational support to the purchasing department by moving, securing, counting, packing, and tracking materials, and by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.  



This individual is highly organized and takes pride in ensuring that everything has a designated place and that materials are easy to find, access, and account for. They are responsive, dependable, and strong in follow-through, ensuring requests are handled promptly and tasks are completed accurately and on time. Additionally, they may transport inventory to various job sites and/or other locations. 



This individual must be comfortable driving pickup trucks with trailers and operating a forklift.

  • Always represent Kraun with professionalism and consistently demonstrate SPARK values. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to the field team and other internal customers. 
  • Coordinate delivery and pickup of materials from job sites, vendors, and other company locations. 
  • Receive incoming materials, including physical unloading, inspection, verification, and ERP processing. 
  • Load and unload trucks safely, accurately, and efficiently. 
  • Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. 
  • Pick inventory, satisfy material requests, and stage orders for pickup or delivery. 
  • Arrange, organize, and stage materials, reels, skids, and other items for scheduled pickup, loading, or delivery. 
  • Assist with returns, including excess material returned from job sites, and ensure items are sorted, recorded, restocked, or processed appropriately. 
  • Perform inventory cycle counts to support accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies. 
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, labelling, and effective inventory control. 
  • Organize, catalogue, and sort inventory in the warehouse, vans, yard, and outdoor storage areas. 
  • Optimize yard and outdoor storage areas for efficiency, accessibility, safety, and proper material flow. 
  • Stock vans to the required inventory standard and assist with maintaining accurate van inventory. 
  • Manage the tool crib, including signing tools in and out, labelling tools as needed, maintaining tool cage organization, and controlling tool inventory. 
  • Inspect and test tools to confirm they are clean, complete, safe, and in good working order before being issued or returned to service. 
  • Support a fast-paced warehouse environment by prioritizing tasks, multitasking effectively, and responding quickly to changing operational needs. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
     

Key Accountabilities 


  • Material flow and logistics: Ensure materials, tools, reels, skids, and job-site supplies are received, picked, staged, delivered, returned, and loaded efficiently. 
  • Inventory accuracy and control: Maintain accurate warehouse, van, yard, tool crib, and ERP inventory records through receiving, cycle counts, labelling, organization, and return processing. 
  • Internal customer service and warehouse readiness: Provide excellent service to electricians and field teams while keeping the warehouse, yard, tool cage, and storage areas organized, clean, safe, and ready for daily operations. 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements 


  • High school diploma/GED is required; college diploma preferred 
  • Valid Ontario G driver's licence and clean driving record 
  • Valid forklift certification is an asset 
  • Previous warehouse or manual labour experience is an asset 
  • Clean criminal reference check

  • Strong organizational skills  
  • Mechanically inclined and able to work with tools 
  • Able to build and assemble things with ease 
  • Comfort operating forklifts, driving trucks, hooking up trailers, etc. 
  • Good communication and organizational skills 
  • Ability to quickly learn new software programs 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines 
  • Able to follow safety rules 
  • Reliability and initiative 
  • Good navigational skills 
  • Basic math skills 

 

Working Environment & Physical Demands 


  • Includes but is not limited to the routine use of standard office equipment, extensive walking and standing, using ladders, heavy lifting, and operating machinery 
  • Exposed to all weather conditions 
  • Extensive walking, standing, climbing ladders, heavy-lifting, carrying, etc.
