As Senior Associate, Venue Development, you will support the renovation and upgrade of the venues that will host the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Venue Development, you help coordinate design, engineering, and construction delivery across concurrent venue projects throughout the Los Angeles region. You track scope, schedule, and budget, prepare documentation, and work with venue owners, consultants, and city agencies to keep projects moving on scope and schedule as the venues that will host the Games take shape. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of design, engineering, and construction across multiple concurrent venue development and renovation projects. 
  • Track scope, schedule, budget, and risk, and prepare clear, regular status reports for project leadership. 
  • Coordinate with venue owners, local authorities, consultants, and delivery partners across the Los Angeles region. 
  • Help align competing stakeholder priorities and resolve scope, budget, and delivery questions as they arise. 
  • Maintain project documentation, drawings, and records so design outputs consistently meet operational and venue-owner requirements. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or venue and project delivery environments, ideally on complex builds. 
  • Working knowledge of design and construction delivery, including budgets, schedules, and risk management, ideally in the Los Angeles or California market. 
  • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects with diverse internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and senior leaders. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong organization, coordination, and communication skills across technical and delivery teams. 
  • Local Los Angeles or California market experience. 
  • Familiarity with permitting, building codes, and bonding requirements. 
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools. 
  • Experience on large-scale sports or event venue projects. 
  • Strong local stakeholder and consultant relationships.

Requirements

  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office. 
  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment. 
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment. 
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods. 
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
