The Temp, Order Picker is responsible for accurately retrieving, verifying, and preparing clinical trial materials according to established pick lists, documentation standards, and operational timelines. The role ensures that all materials are handled, documented, and prepared in alignment with CTM procedures, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Please note this is a temporary assignment, anticipated to last 3–6 months. The role is onsite in Johnson City, TN, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Retrieves clinical trial materials from inventory based on pick lists, order priorities, and protocol-specific requirements.
Reviews Order Pick sheets, including shipping method, customer details, assemblies, item numbers, and lot/expiration requirements.
Verifies item accuracy, lot numbers, expiration dates, quantities, and unit of measure, following numeric and traceability standards.
Handles refrigerated, frozen, sensitive, or regulated materials in accordance with safety and handling guidelines.
Executes backorder, substitution, and shortage procedures when required, escalating discrepancies per department workflow.
Packages and stages inventory appropriately to prevent breakage, loss, or separation.
Places completed picks in designated bins with correct identification (e.g., ship date, SO#, shipping method, bin count).
Supports the Second Count process by preparing orders for verification and ensuring documentation accuracy.
Completes QC checklist sections as required to support audit readiness.
Maintains a clean, organized, and compliant picking and staging area.
Collaborates with Shipping, Kit Build, Back Ends, and Front Ends teams to support timely order fulfillment.
Assist with inventory cycle counts, restocking, and material organization as needed.
Adherence to global SOPs, site procedures, and all relevant quality and safety regulations
Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma(or in process of obtaining equivalent) required.
Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, clinical materials, or inventory environment preferred.
Skills and Ability
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured procedures.
Effective organization and time-management abilities in a fast-paced regulated environment.
Basic computer proficiency for reviewing documents, entering IDs, and verifying item information.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Good English reading, comprehension, and communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the occupant is regularly required to:
Sit 25% of the week.
Stand and walk 75% of the week.
Walk and/or reach with hands and arms 75% of the week.
Read text of various sizes.
Communicate with others and hear.
Lift, pull and/or push up to 50 pounds and/or ~23 kilograms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include hand-eye coordination and hand manipulation, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
