The Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency (LACAHSA) is a new agency, created to address the ongoing challenges of affordable housing in L.A. County. We help people stay in their homes and increase housing options in all communities of Los Angeles County.
Our agency was created by California state legislation sponsored by community organizations and housing experts, approved by the State Legislature, and signed by Governor Gavin Newsom.
We are governed by a Board of 22 Los Angeles County leaders, including elected officials and housing experts.

The role you play here won’t just support operations; it will help shape outcomes that change lives.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Board and committee meetings
- Assist in preparing Board agendas, reports, presentations, and meeting materials
- Coordinate logistics for Board meetings, including scheduling, virtual setup, and in-person arrangements
- Ensure timely distribution of Board materials and maintain organized records and document repositories
- Support compliance with public meeting requirements, including the Brown Act and records transparency standards
- Serve as a point of coordination between internal teams and the Board Secretary to ensure alignment on deliverables
- Assist with onboarding new Board members, including materials and orientation coordination
- Maintain and update Board calendars, tracking key deadlines, filings, and governance requirements
- Support on Board Member legal compliance matters (AB1234, Form 700, etc)
What You Bring:
- Associate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required
- At least 2 years of experience supporting executive leadership or governance functions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail, particularly in documentation, recordkeeping, and meeting coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally across teams
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in administrative, governance, or executive support roles
- Experience in public sector, government, or highly regulated environments preferred
- Familiarity with California public meeting laws, including the Brown Act, is a plus
- Experience supporting Boards, commissions, or elected officials
- Exposure to Board governance processes, including agendas, minutes, and compliance tracking
- Experience using Board management systems
- Experience in fast-paced or start-up environments with evolving processes

Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) coursework or interest in certification (preferred but not required)

Compensation Range:
We are committed to equitable compensation practices, and we offer an annual
salary range from $85,000.00to $95,000.00, depending
on your experience and qualifications.
