Special Events Crew Member

The Lake Gregory Special Events Crew will assist the Wedding Coordinator and Special Events Coordinator before, during, and after special events and weddings at Lake Gregory.

Essential Functions

1. Execute set up of venue for weddings and events as well as tear down/clean up
2. Unloading equipment from trucks including chairs and other event decor and furniture
3. Ensuring the indoor and outdoor event space and restrooms are clean and organized
4. Welcoming guests and directing them to appropriate areas throughout the event
5. Anticipate and respond to vendor and guest needs/requests

Additional Functions

1. Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list
2. Represent LGCRC to the fullest throughout an event
3. Undertaking minor security duties
4. Assisting other departments as needed
5. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

1. Valid California Driver’s license
2. High school diploma preferred, or related work experience
3. Current CPR and First Aid certifications

Physical Demands

1. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds & walk and carry over uneven terrain
2. Ability to work in inclement weather including heat, rain, snow, and ice
3. Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job
4. Other physical demands: Leaning, Bending over, Stooping, Reaching, Pulling, Pushing,
5. Squatting, Climbing/Descending, Sweeping, Watering, Moving heavy hoses, Sit Stand or Walk for extended periods of time, Walking trails during the day and night, Twisting Sideways
