Summary:

This position is responsible for facilitating all Virtual Design & Construction efforts, principally Building Information Modeling efforts during Strategy, Preconstruction, and Construction, including overall QA/QC, and assisting with design and creation of 3D models, renderings and/or animations for construction project proposals and interviews within the context of the Company’s long-term goals and values.

Essential Job Functions: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Assist with and/or develop, create, modify, augment and integrate 4D and 5D BI models and CAD files for the pursuit and construction of projects.
  • Working with design teams and subcontractors, provide quality assistance and quality control on each model.
  • Assist and coordinate with the BIM team in maintenance of construction standards, processes and project goals.
  • Assist Preconstruction and Strategy teams with quantity take-offs, early Preconstruction RFI’s, clash detection, QA/QC of the design deliverables and constructability reviews to identify design conflicts, sequencing challenges, and coordination risks.
  • Collaborate with Planning & Scheduling to support project phasing analysis, logistics planning, sequencing visualization, and schedule-related model integration.
  • Manage and maintain project model integrity, version control, file organization, and VDC documentation standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support lifecycle handoffs by organizing and transferring VDC-related models, assumptions, coordination efforts, and design intelligence between project phases.
  • Assist Construction teams by facilitating clash detection efforts, RFI creation with proposed solutions utilizing BIM software, coordination modeling, and other risk mitigation efforts.
  • Assist Construction teams with reality capture, information modeling, and model-based field coordination support.
  • Assist our Work Acquisition team with renderings, 3D models and other visuals during the creation of proposals and in preparation for in-person interviews, helping communicate project approach, logistics, phasing, and Owner Expectations.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Architectural or construction background required
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in BIM work from preconstruction to project completion
  • Competency in the following: Navisworks, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam



Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Degree in construction engineering or technology
  • Experience with Procore preferred



Work Environment

This position is in-person in a standard office environment. This job will also require transportation and driving to various jobsites as needed to complete role responsibilities.

  • Must have the ability to see and read on computer screens, proposals, contracts and other documentation with accuracy to ensure clear interpretation and attention to detail.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods, walk, use hands and arms, talk, hear, bend, stretch, reach, kneel, squat, climb, and view a computer monitor while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. This position will also utilize endurance and the ability to walk outdoors for extended periods, including stairs and elevated structures and scaffolding.

 

Work Hours

Normal “working hours” anticipated are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, it is expected that this position may need to be available by phone, e-mail, and/or for virtual meeting participation after hours and/or before, during, and after any critical after-hour project functions and work activities, or in the event of emergency circumstances and/or crises (such as Hurricane Preparedness Plans), as necessary.
