CLASS 1 DRIVER WITH LOW BED EXPERIENCE
Landmark Solutions Ltd. (Landmark) has an immediate opening for a Class 1 driver, with experience in 6 and 7 axle low bed operation, operating tandem gravel trucks with trailers, knowledge of permits and the operation of various pieces of equipment to load and unload. This is a full-time year-round position moving Landmark equipment, materials, and some subcontractor equipment up to 7 axle loads.
This position is an integral part of the Landmark team, with the opportunity for the individual to grow within our Construction and other sectors of the Landmark business.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Class 1 Driver will work with safety as a top priority while ensuring adherence to Landmark safety policies, procedures, and practices. The Driver loads, unloads, and safely operates company vehicles to transport equipment and materials to Landmark project sites. This position is based in Salmon Arm, but there is some out-of-town work required in support of the ongoing projects. Duties and Skills include but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with safety as a top priority and ensuring adherence to Landmark safety policies, procedures, and practices.
Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, which could include forklifts, loaders or other equipment.
Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with Landmark requirements.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
Perform routine inspections of the truck and report anything requiring maintenance or repairs.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
Driver must be able to complete Apollo ELDs.
Communicate effectively with Managers, Supervisors, and other team members.
Job Requirements and Skills
Commitment to safety.
Ability to load and unload cargo, and properly secure loads as required.
Operate tandem gravel truck and trailers.
Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment for loading and unloading.
Knowledge of transport truck repair and maintenance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships work well in a team environment.
Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
- Projects are located throughout western Canada and candidate must be willing to travel to project sites and on a shift work basis as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Valid commercial driver's license (Class 1)
A current drivers abstract is required to be provided.
Proven experience as a truck driver with experience driving Eaton Fuller 18 speed.
Previous experience with operation of low bed and hauling heavy equipment strong asset.
Previous experience operating tandem gravel trucks with trailer a strong asset .
Experience with different trailer configurations to be used for moving equipment and materials to different job sites, such as Low bed, Step Deck, and Tilt Trailer.
Clean driving record.
