Quick Summary
In this role, you will report to the Finance Director and be actively involved in a wide range of accounting operations.
- Own the global cash and bank accounting process for all LastPass subsidiaries, including posting bank activity and reconciling month‑end balances to the general ledger
- Execute global payment runs on a weekly or bi‑weekly schedule
- Support the month‑end close by posting accruals, making adjustments, and preparing reconciliations
- Prepare domestic federal, state, and local tax filings, as well as international VAT and other local tax obligations. Partner with internal Tax teams and external advisors to resolve reporting exceptions
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as FP&A, Tax, and Finance Support Operations to ensure accurate and complete general ledger activity
- Build a strong understanding of order and booking systems that drive revenue, ensuring controls remain effective and partnering with system owners on updates and upcoming business changes
- Support interim and year‑end external audit requests and other ongoing audit requirements
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and assist with control testing
- Partner with senior leadership on initiatives to streamline accounting processes and systems, improving efficiency
- Contribute as part of a small, multi‑functional team covering Cash Application, Indirect Taxes, and E‑Commerce Revenue Accounting, providing backup coverage during absences
- Background in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Proven accounting experience
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and take on challenges; self‑driven, motivated, and able to cope with ambiguity
- Ability to interact effectively and build productive working relationships across all organizational levels and departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with technology in general
- Experience using NetSuite ERP
- Experience working with external tax advisors to support the filing of international tax returns
