Registered Nurse Weekdays Nights (Winter Springs, FL)

• →Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
• →CPR/BLS Certification required
• →Minimum 1 year nursing experience preferred
• →Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, pediatrics, detox, or mental health preferred
• →Must pass Level 2 Background Screening (DCF Clearinghouse)
• →Strong documentation and communication skills
• →Ability to respond appropriately in crisis situations
• →Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• →Provide direct care and nursing services to residents as prescribed by program regulations and/or individual treatment plans, including collecting medical specimens.
• →Maintain records including Medication Administration Records, medical records, and medical charts.
• →Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings as needed.
• →Prevent client abuse by adhering to all policies and procedures, attending periodic training, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behavior, and following mandatory abuse reporting requirements.
• →Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures.
• →Obtain patient data and vital signs and report findings to the RN/Medical Director.
• →Schedule medical, dental, vision, and clinical appointments and provide medical information on a need-to-know basis.
• →Comply with all reporting requirements, biohazard program requirements, and medical protocols.
• →Attend meetings as required and participate as an interdisciplinary team member.
