Outpatient Infectious Disease Physician-Sign On Bonus- On Call 1x/yr

As an Adult Infectious Disease physician, you will provide board-certified clinical care to adults with a specialized focus on infectious diseases. You will support patients through complex health needs while also providing general primary care for patients living with HIV and others when required.

• Support patients living with HIV and individuals affected by Hepatitis C, Tuberculosis, and other infectious diseases.
• Help develop and update clinical guidelines for HIV, Hepatitis C, Tuberculosis, PrEP, non-occupational PEP, occupational PEP, and other infectious diseases.
• Provide expert consultation and assistance to providers across other service lines.
• Offer expertise and support during infectious disease outbreaks while collaborating with public health organizations.
• Contribute to research projects through patient recruitment, data analysis, interpretation, and publication when available.

• →Provide patients with infectious disease specialty care services in addition to general primary care in HIV patients and in others when required.
• →Develop and update clinical guidelines for HIV, Hepatitis C, Tuberculosis, PrEP, non-occupational PEP, occupational PEP, and other infectious diseases.
• →Manage and treat common health problems, including infections, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses and disorders, with a focus on infectious diseases.
• →Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, vaccines, etc. to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
• →Collect, record, analyze, and maintain patient information, including medical histories, reports, and examination results.
• →Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
• →Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
• →Provide expert consultation and assistance to providers across other service lines when needed.
• →Provide expertise and support during infectious disease outbreaks.
• →Report certain diseases and collaborate with other public health organizations.
• →Provide supervision of mid-level providers and mentor students.
• →Provide knowledge, basic techniques, and patient recruitment for research projects if available.
• →Assist in performing data analyses, interpretation, and publishing of any research projects.
• →Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention, including FQHC-required voluntary family planning services and related preventative health services in compliance with funding requirements and state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
• →Perform other duties as assigned.

• MD, DO with completion of Infectious Disease Fellowship
• Provider shall obtain, maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers’ compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.

• At least 2 years of experience working in Infectious Disease, preferred
