VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company (https://www.lg.com/global/mobility) of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG’s proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.
We are seeking a candidate who can balance hands-on operational responsibilities with leadership duties, contributing to effective day to day execution and ongoing team development. The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations, safety oversight for employees and visitors, maintenance, and overall facility management. This role ensures that buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The Facilities Manager will oversee Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities, manage building supplies and inventory, review and manage vendor contracts, lead and develop the facilities team.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Oversee building maintenance, company vehicles/fleet oversight, repairs, upgrades, and facility renovation or remodeling projects
- →Ensure proper functioning of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and security infrastructure
- →Manage vendor relationships for janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, and other building-related services
- →Monitor and manage facility supplies, equipment inventories, storage areas, and procurement of supplies and equipment
- →Maintain files of warranties, inspections, licenses, and service agreements for facility equipment
- →Ensure equipment and facilities are ready for regular business operations and special events
- →Collaborate with management to prepare and implement the facility budget
- →Oversee and maintain facility security systems, including access control, surveillance, and other security infrastructure
- →Ensure site security operations follow established company protocols and security standards
- →Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies
- →Lead or support the development of safety protocols, emergency response plans, inspections, and incident investigations
- →Implement safety training programs and collaborate with internal teams to maintain a safe and compliant workplace
- →Conduct or oversee regular facility inspections to ensure safety, compliance, and operational readiness
- →Review and evaluate facility-related contracts and service agreements in collaboration with company designated legal services
- →Coordinate bidding, negotiation, renewal, and performance monitoring for building and service vendors
- →Maintain records of contract terms, service schedules, budgets, and associated documentation
- →Directly supervise assigned team members
- →Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and performance management
- →Coordinate work assignments, schedules, and workload distribution
- →Plan and oversee facility modifications, repairs, construction projects, and infrastructure improvements
- →Participate in budgeting and forecasting for facility operations and capital projects
- →Support continuous improvement efforts related to efficiency, safety, and building operations
- →Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 4+ year of experience OR Associate’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in facilities management, property management, EH&S, or related fields
- Experience leading teams or direct reports
- Knowledge of building maintenance procedures, safety practices, and facility systems
- Understanding of EHS regulations, facility compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies
- Strong communication, organization, and vendor management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software used in facility operations and reporting
- Strong ability to interpret contracts, technical documentation, and facility specifications, and advise on necessary actions or improvements
- May require occasional after business hours support, weekend support, or on call availability in response to facility needs
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Ability to travel domestically to support business locations as needed
