About the Role
~1 min readWe are seeking an experienced and passionate CARE Australia Practice Consultant to provide expert leadership, implementation support, and consultancy services in the Life Without Barriers Evidence Based Practice Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled practitioner with strong experience in the implementation of the CARE (Creating the Conditions for Change) practice framework and the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) system to influence outcomes both within Life Without Barriers and across partner organisations throughout Australia.
Reporting to the Manager, Program Advancement and Implementation (CARE Australia), you will play a critical role in supporting sector agencies implementing CARE, while also building internal capability and sustainability across Life Without Barriers' Child, Youth and Family services.
You will provide implementation guidance, training, coaching, and technical assistance to ensure fidelity to CARE and TCI, promote best-practice service delivery, and improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
With CARE as a foundation, you will contribute to sector-wide practice innovation, service design, research, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives in the Evidence Based Practice Team.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide expert consultancy, training, and implementation support to organisations adopting the CARE model across Australia.
- →Lead CARE implementation activities, monitor fidelity to the model, and support continuous practice improvement.
- →Partner with Child, Youth and Family leaders to strengthen evidence-informed practice through coaching, advice, and capability building in CARE, TCI, and related frameworks.
- →Contribute to complex practice matters, service design, innovation, research, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- →Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sector partners, government agencies, and Cornell University.
- →Represent CARE Australia and Life Without Barriers at conferences, forums, and sector engagement activities.
You are a respected CARE and TCI practice leader. . You are passionate about implementation science, workforce capability development, and achieving better outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Requirements
~1 min read- Tertiary qualifications in Human Services, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Certified CARE Educator and Associate-level TCI Trainer (or higher) through Cornell University's Residential Child Care Project.
- Demonstrated experience implementing CARE and TCI, including training, coaching, and practice improvement.
- Significant experience in child, youth, and family services, with the ability to support and influence leaders, managers, and practitioners.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
