Clinical Lead - Onwards Outreach. Permanent Part Time - Newcastle

In this Clinical Lead position you will be responsible for the day to day operational and practice management of the Onwards Outreach program. You will lead a team of 2 professionals, and use strong partnership with internal and external stakeholders, to provide psychosocial counselling and family based support, focusing on reducing harm, strengthening family support and improving health and wellbeing outcomes. This permanent part-time leadership opportunity is suited to a qualified clinician looking to make a meaningful impact while leading a small, collaborative team. The role offers flexibility across 4 days per week or 5 shorter days, Monday to Friday, with the support of a local manager and a well-connected national organisation. There is also flexibility to work from home or our Newcastle office.

• →Provide leadership, supervision and support to a small team.
• →Lead intake, assessment, triage and clinical case management processes.
• →Deliver evidence-based AOD, psychosocial and parenting interventions.
• →Conduct clinical and biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments and care planning.
• →Monitor client outcomes and provide reporting to partner organisations and funding bodies.
• →Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance and compliance with clinical governance frameworks.
• →Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support referral pathways and integrated service delivery.
• →Support parents to strengthen wellbeing, recovery and parenting capacity.

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or a related discipline.
• Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant professional body.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience working with Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) clients, including assessment and counselling.
• Experience supporting parents and families through coaching, mentoring or evidence-based parenting programs.
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, trauma-informed practice and recovery-oriented approaches.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
• Highly developed assessment, care planning and case management skills.
• Current unrestricted drivers license and own vehicle (business travel reimbursed).

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
