About the Role
~1 min readProvide active support to people with Disability in Mackay across Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Lifestyle settings with casual or part time positions available. The people you will support are looking for passionate support workers who are proactive in providing active support to them in their day-to-day living.
Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends and sleep overs.
Shifts are also available in our Lifestyles program where you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.
Responsibilities

- →Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
- →Maintain thorough record keeping
- →Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
- →Advocate for client choice and control
Requirements
~1 min read- A passion for working with people with disability
- Ability to work with challenging behaviours
- An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
