Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the home in line with the CARE model, relevant legislation, service standards and LWB policies and procedures
  • Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting
  • Be a visible and supportive leader in the home, offering guidance and role modelling for your team
  • Oversee and implement therapeutic care plans to support the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Guide your team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques
  • Facilitate team meetings, training and provide reflective supervision and mentoring to staff, fostering a strong team culture
  • Complete, review and maintain client records and reports within approved LWB systems.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or similar)
  • Leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, ideally within a residential care setting.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, have complex needs and/or display behaviours of concern.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, embedding therapeutic care practices
  • Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) & Provide CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate/s
  • A Current & Unrestricted driver’s licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, WA Working with Children Check and WA DCP395 Check.
