Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conduct therapeutic assessments and develop evidence-based plans, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) and Individual Crisis Support Plans (ICSPs).
- →Provide therapeutic consultation, guidance and reflective practice support to staff, carers, and care teams.
- →Support the implementation of CARE and TCI frameworks to ensure trauma-informed, therapeutic care across services.
- →Participate in Care Team Meetings and collaborate with Child Safety and other stakeholders to support positive outcomes for children and young people.
- →Coordinate preventative strategies to promote placement stability and reduce the risk of placement breakdown.
- →Deliver therapeutic knowledge transfer through coaching, training, and practice support.
Requirements
~1 min read- A tertiary qualification (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working with Children and Young People in Out of Home Care (OOHC), therapeutic care settings or clinical environments.
- Strong understanding of child development, complex trauma and the impacts of abuse, neglect and family separation.
- Experience using evidence-based assessment tools and translating assessment outcomes into effective therapeutic interventions.
- Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Current Driver's Licence.
