Many of our Operations Managers, Program Managers, Case Managers and Practitioners began their journey as Youth Workers.

Working within the CARE Model and Hope & Healing Framework, you will support young people in our Child, Youth & Family programs using a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach.

You will work with young people who may display complex and challenging behaviours, supporting them with:

• School drop-off and pick-up

• Meal preparation and daily living skills

• Family contact and connection

• Community access and appointments

• In-home support aligned with individual goals

As a Youth Worker, you will:

• →

  Build professional, nurturing relationships based on trust and genuine engagement

• →

  Act as a positive role model and encourage life skill development

• →

  Support and promote healthy family connections

• →

  Encourage positive peer relationships

• →

  Empower young people to participate in decisions about their lives

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to work towards)

• Experience working with young people (residential experience desirable)

• Transferable experience from mental health, education, childcare, AOD, or youth justice considered

• Confidence in risk assessment and responding to challenging behaviours

• Valid Full Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence (essential)

• Valid First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)

• Completion of Hope & Healing Framework Foundations prior to commencement (we will enrol you)
