Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the strategy for a major product area within the Wholesale Network platform.
  • Translate company priorities and customer needs into clear product direction and roadmaps.
  • Ensure product teams focus on solving meaningful customer problems and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers.
  • Help PMs develop strong product judgment, prioritization skills, and customer-centric thinking.
  • Foster a strong product culture focused on learning, experimentation, and impact.
  • Ensure product experiences across your area are cohesive, scalable, and aligned with the broader platform strategy.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, data, and go-to-market teams.
  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies to ensure coordinated delivery.
  • Support teams in discovery, prioritization, and delivery of high-impact solutions.
  • Define success metrics and ensure teams are measuring outcomes and learning from results.
  • Surface risks early and help teams navigate complex tradeoffs.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have a strong track record building and leading product teams responsible for complex software products.

  • 8+ years of experience in product management roles in software companies.
  • Proven experience leading and developing Product Managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy and drive execution across multiple teams.
  • Experience working on technically complex products involving structured data, integrations, or platform-level systems.
  • Strong product judgment and ability to make decisions with incomplete information.
  • Experience aligning diverse stakeholders and driving consensus in complex environments.
  • A track record of delivering products that drive meaningful customer and business outcomes.

 

  • Experience with retail, e-commerce, marketplace, or wholesale platforms.
  • Experience building or scaling platform capabilities.
  • Experience working with both SMB and enterprise customers.

  • Systems thinking, you understand how product surfaces, data models, and workflows interact across a platform.
  • A leadership style that develops strong product managers rather than directing every decision.
  • The ability to operate at multiple levels of abstraction, from product vision to detailed execution.
  • Clear communication that helps teams navigate tradeoffs and align on priorities.
  • A focus on outcomes over output.

At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skill set, qualifications, experience, and market data. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the total compensation for this position to be in the range of $160-180k Base. Lightspeed also provides a variety of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, wellness, life and disability insurance, RRSP plan and match, paid parental leave top-up, and paid time off.Please note that this compensation information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within Ontario and reflects the amount Lightspeed is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
