Lead BI Engineer

• →Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models that support operational, financial, and executive leadership needs.
• →Partner with business leaders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business objectives into scalable reporting solutions.
• →Validate data accuracy and collaborate with Analytics Engineering to ensure reporting integrity and consistency across the organization.
• →Establish reporting standards, governance practices, security controls, and documentation that support a single source of truth.
• →Drive adoption of business intelligence solutions through stakeholder engagement, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• →Support strategic decision-making by delivering clear, actionable insights from complex data sets.
• →Provide technical leadership and coaching to team members through knowledge sharing, code and report reviews, problem-solving support, and development of BI best practices.
• →Leverage AI and automation tools (e.g., Copilot for Power BI, AI-driven DAX/M optimization, natural language query features) to accelerate report development, surface deeper insights, and reduce manual reporting effort.
• →Design and maintain AI-ready data models and semantic layers that enable accurate, trustworthy AI-generated insights and support the organization's broader AI/analytics maturity.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data visualization, or corporate reporting environments, with at least a year of experience in a lead role.
• Advanced proficiency with Power BI, DAX, and SQL, including dashboard development and data validation.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting and analytics solutions.

• Experience supporting construction, industrial, project-based, or field service organizations.
• Knowledge of project finance, job costing, budgeting, or operational performance reporting.
• Microsoft DP-600 or DP-700 certification or other relevant business intelligence certifications.
• Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Python, R.
