Lovelytics is seeking a Senior Data Visualization Consultant (Principal Consultant) with experience delivering Power BI dashboards to client engagements.
This Principal Consultant will play a key role in delivering on client engagements related to semantic reporting, dashboarding, and overall analytics output. In this role you'll partner with Lovelytics' innovative clients to understand requirements, and utilize tools such has Tableau, Cognos, and Power BI, to deliver outstanding solutions. In addition to the technical capabilities for this role, we are looking for someone who wants to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and inclusive environment and has a passion for bringing meaning to data.

Responsibilities

- →Collaborate with other team members to successfully deliver on projects.
- →Work effectively and directly communicate with both internal and client and/or partner teams.
- →Develop full ownership of your execution on client engagements, you'll become involved in the project planning and solution stages of engagements as well.
- →Edit, write, and troubleshoot multi-layered and challenging data calculations
- →Create accurate and advanced analytics dashboards (PowerBI) that meet the requirements of clients that maintain logic and integrity
- →Develop wireframes and/or mockups for use cases using tools like Figma, Balsamiq, etc
- →Implement data governance practices, resulting in improved data quality.
- →Analyze data trends and contribute to data transformation preparation.
- →Work with engagement leads and directors to gain exposure in the design and architecture of solutions
Requirements
~1 min read- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4-6 years' experience in a BI/Analytics role. At least 2 years working directly with clients and/or external stakeholders.
- Experience developing semantic layer/reporting layer/gold layer data sources for analytics use cases using tools like: SQL, SSIS, PowerQuery, Tableau Prep, Alteryx, and Knime.
- Experience building actionable analytics using Power BI
- Programming experience in Python for data analysis, automation, or data visualization is preferred.
- Familiarity with IBM Cognos Analytics is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and QA analytical dashboards to ensure they meet requirements and maintain logical integrity
- Exposure to and experience with Databricks a plus**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understands and utilizes Lovelytics tools and client tools
- Exciting projects with great clients in varying departments and verticals across the world
- The ability to work closely with experienced data engineers and quickly grow and expand your skillset
- The ability to work closely with all sizes of companies, ranging from Fortune 100 to small local businesses
