The Associate Construction Manager’s role is to manage the construction of tenant finish out and capital improvement projects from conception to completion with direct responsibility for in budget on schedule projects within a multi-site medical office building portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Serve on each project to coordinate and supervise aspects of the scope of work
  • Review the project in-depth to understand deliverables, schedule, and costs
  • Oversee construction projects to monitor progress, design adherence, and compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Prepare bid invitations and qualify bids
  • Review change orders and review and approve all pay applications
  • Establish and maintain construction budget
  • Handle multiple tasks while remaining detail oriented and delivering results within given timelines
  • Communicate well with clients and team members
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in construction management
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and instruction, yet able to function as part of a team

Office environment with some extended hours and frequent travel throughout Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex area required.

This position is 100% in-office. The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
