Pit Loader Operator

Luck Stone's Fairfield Plant is seeking a Pit Loader Operator! Pit Loader Operators run machinery for the success of the aggregate extraction process. They are trained associates who report to a supervisor or foreman. Loader Operators skillfully navigate the pit and yard to ensure safe loading and unloading of rock into the primary crushers. Dependent upon heavy equipment experience, Loader Operators will need high to little supervision for accomplishing their essential functions depending upon experience.

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Certifications: General Mineral Miner
• Work Experience: 3+ years of safe equipment operation

• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain heavy equipment, stationary and mobile equipment if
  needed.

Pit Loader:

• Maintain Haul Roads and Berms
• Pit Floor Preparation
• Staging and Spotting
• Digging and Loading

ENVIRONMENT OR PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to work under conditions of frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions; frequently in, on, and around quarry high walls and pit; extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels
