Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Act as a trusted Finance business partner to the Manufacturing Team, providing quality, relevant, and timely financial support to the team and the organization
- →Acting as a face of Finance and as a critical friend to the business. Be a storyteller, turning data into easily understood trends and impacts that can be actioned by the business.
- →Have the ability to convey complex financial information in a concise, non-technical manner
- →Lead month-end variance analysis and operational reviews for Manufacturing, providing insights into financial performance, key underlying drivers, changes against plan, and upcoming opportunities and risks.
- →Lead monthly financial re-forecasting and annual budgeting processes, including the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of forecasting models to ensure accurate financial plans
- →Proactively review and develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to find actionable opportunities for stakeholders and educate the business on how those metrics drive financial improvements
- →Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting quality, financial performance, and decision-making
- →Responsible for developing and improving centralized tools and dashboards that enable business users to clearly understand their performance and opportunities
- →Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver decision support, impact assessments, and return on investment (ROI) analyses for evaluating projects and strategic initiatives
- →Improve finance knowledge across the business by effectively communicating financial concepts that can be easily understood by all stakeholders
- →Provide peer support, guidance, and development opportunities to team members
- →Proactively seek solutions to current and foreseeable issues
- →Provide support for any ad-hoc analysis projects, modelling, and presentation materials as required
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on finance experience within a manufacturing - finance setting, and proven understanding of operational processes and systems
- Experience in manufacturing FP&A, working with key financial and accounting principles, cost accounting, Profit & Loss statement, variance analysis, modelling, and problem-solving skills
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
- Advance Microsoft Excel, data manipulation, and ability to build KPI dashboards for middle and senior managers
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences
- Ability to partner directly with Manufacturing and operational leaders and translate finance into practical business language
- Proven experience in developing, utilizing and analysing financial and operational KPIs
- A proven, proactive approach, and initiative, collaborative, and inclusive approach to business support
- Strong organization and time-management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A commitment to high-quality work and continuous learning

- Ability to work on-site 4-5 days per week, based on business needs
Nice to Have
~2 min read- CPA designation or equivalent accounting qualification
- Knowledge with Microsoft Dynamics AX, QAD, (or other ERP)
- Experience using Adaptive forecasting software considered an asset
