The Group IT Operations and Security Officer will oversee the IT operations and cybersecurity for Luxaviation Group and will report to the Group Chief Information and Technology Officer. This role ensures the smooth operation of all IT systems and infrastructure across the group while safeguarding these assets through comprehensive cybersecurity measures. The Officer will be responsible for aligning the IT operations with business objectives and implementing industry-standard security practices to protect the company’s digital assets. This role demands a deep technical knowledge of IT operations, a proactive approach to cybersecurity, and the ability to manage teams in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all group-level IT operations, ensuring high system performance, reliability, and uninterrupted service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve cybersecurity policies, procedures, and training programs across the organization, including compliance with NIS2 requirements.
- Coordinate incident response activities and manage recovery efforts during cybersecurity breaches or IT infrastructure failures.
- Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, mitigation strategies, and regulatory changes, ensuring proactive risk management.
- Ensure IT systems comply with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIS2) and maintain relevant certifications.
- Provide strategic and technical advisory on IT operations and cybersecurity to senior leadership, including planning for future growth, technology investments, and system upgrades.
- Oversee the deployment and management of cloud infrastructures, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration with on-premise systems.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration testing to identify and address system vulnerabilities.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing IT operations and implementing cybersecurity strategies in a large organization
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), networking, and IT infrastructure management
- Experience in incident response and cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST
- Ability to manage a team effectively, delegate tasks, and oversee large projects
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Desirable
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or relevant cloud technology certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
- Familiarity with project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall)
