Driver/Runner and Laborer (Scottsville, NY)

Position Overview:
Our Gas Division is looking to add a Driver/Runner & Laborer to their growing team! You will be responsible for picking up and delivering materials to job sites and assisting in laborer tasks as needed.

• We estimate that 50% of the time will be driving and delivering materials and 50% of the time will be working as a Laborer. 

Responsibilities:

• Drive company vehicle safely in compliance with all traffic laws.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluid levels and tires; report irregularities to supervisor and Director of Fleet.
• Pick up and deliver job site materials as directed.
• Perform construction laborer tasks when not driving; this will include restoring lawn, blacktop, concrete, and asphalt after excavation restoration work is completed. 

Requirements:  

• Ability to pass and maintain a current DOT physical
• Clean driving record with a focus on safe vehicle operation; MINIMUM 2 years relevant driving experience
• Able to lift and carry objects of up to 50 pounds; have no lifting or physical restrictions
• Possess a solid knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with the public and Clients
• Work outdoors year-round in all types of weather
• Demonstrate safe and proper use and maintenance of all company tools and equipment

Compensation:

• $25.00-$30.00 per hour plus some prevailing wage opportunities
