Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Layout and fit up of structural steel according to fabrication drawings and specifications.
- →Perform tack welding and MIG welding to join steel components.
- →Interpret fabrication drawings, including weld symbols, dimensions, and tolerances.
- →Undertake additional tasks, as assigned, to support the team’s overall effort.
- →Availability for overtime work, as required, by project demands.
- Ability to interpret complex fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly of steel structures.
- Proficiency in assembling and erecting structural steel components such as beams, columns, and other products.
- Competence in using various tools including tape measures, squares, and welding equipment to achieve precise steelwork.
- Experience with grinding techniques for external, internal, and surface finishing.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Safe operation of assigned equipment, following established safety protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and achieve project objectives.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance record.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a steel parts processing environment.
- Experience in operating overhead cranes.
- Demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Commitment to maintaining safe work habits and adherence to safety regulations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or training in welding and fabrication techniques preferred.
- Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and assembly.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy steel components.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
