Stange Law Firm, PC is accepting resumes from dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced professionals for a Finance Director position at the Firm's headquarters office. Our headquarters is currently located in Clayton, Missouri, and will relocate to 600 Emerson Road, Suite 110, Creve Coeur, Missouri 63141 beginning August 1, 2026.

As one of the largest domestic relations law firms in the United States, Stange Law Firm, PC is a growing multi-state law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services while continuing to expand into new markets. We are seeking a strategic Finance Director who will play a key leadership role in helping drive the Firm's continued growth and financial success.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare balance sheet, cash flow, and financial projections.

  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and profitability analyses.

  • Provide complex financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the Partners.

  • Evaluate the financial viability of new office locations, expansion opportunities, and other business initiatives.

  • Analyze profitability, productivity, revenue trends, and operating performance.

  • Oversee Firm insurance renewals, including malpractice, health, workers' compensation, life, and other business insurance policies.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate payment of Firm expenses.

  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.

  • Review and improve financial reporting processes, accounting procedures, and internal controls.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

  • Prepare year-end audit support.

  • Develop reports and dashboards that assist the Partners in making informed business decisions.

  • Identify opportunities to improve cash flow, operational efficiency, and profitability.

  • Assist with special financial and strategic projects as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced financial credential preferred.

  • Three (3) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible finance or accounting experience preferred.

  • Leadership or management experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

  • Experience with ERP or financial management software preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience, along with an outstanding benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.
