To support our rapid growth, we’re seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant, reporting to our Controller in our Austin, TX headquarters. You will be a key member of the accounting team by leading projects to identify low-lift/high-return business opportunities, and to improve the quality of information we deliver to our investors and our Board.


What You’ll Do:

Revenue Management

  • Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules during the monthly close process.
  • Ensure revenue recognition is compliant with applicable accounting standards
  • Analyze and record contra revenue documents (credit memos, rebates, discounts, and adjustments) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts related to accounts receivable, revenue, deferred revenue, undeposited funds, and sales tax.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.
  • Support external audit requests and provide documentation for revenue and receivable transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.


Accounts Receivable Oversight

  • Oversee daily accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and customer account maintenance.
  • Monitor aging reports and partner with Hospitality and Wholesale channel sales leaders to resolve delinquent accounts and billing disputes.
  • Establish and maintain A/R policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Review customer contracts and billing terms to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue treatment.
  • Track and report key A/R metrics, including DSO, collections performance, and unapplied cash.


Process Improvement & Systems

  • Assist with AI scripts/flows, system upgrades, and automation initiatives related to billing, revenue, and receivables.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and accounting policies.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and scalability.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, CPA a plus.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communicator who is skilled at building cross-functional relationships.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently and also collaboratively.
  • Ability to work full-time at Austin, TX headquarters (St. Elmo).
  • Experience in consumer products and with global companies.
  • Experience with Avalara or similar sales tax software.
  • Familiarity with process automation and reporting tools.
